Family Friendly Environment Fayre : Sat at 11:00AM - 4:30PM, St George's Centre​, Reforne, Portland, DT5 2AN   (FREE)

An action-packed day of family-friendly activities and events to celebrate the unique environment of Portland in partnership with Island Community Action and the Portland Association.

​

Nature-themed challenges plus prizes, foraged and recycled art, stone carving, hedge-hogtastic tips, learn the waggle dance with the Bee Circus, take part in a BioBlitz, go on a wild foraging walk with Bushwhacker Tours or learn more about the medicinal properties of the plants around us with herbalist Andrew Cowling or make beautiful images using the power of the sun.

Keep an eye out for a few bee surprises provided by leading outdoor arts company Artizani, you might just find out what bee’s get up to on their days off! See website for all info

NOW AT WELLSWAY SPORTS CENTER, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 1HH

 

10am - 4pm

 

 Featuring their main attraction, stage areas filled with lectures & presentations to suit all ages and levels on interest.

 

 Including: Dr Tom Rhys Bishop, Unusual Pet Encounters, AntsRus, Bazants, Ant Farm Supplies, National Exotics Animal Rescue Services and More!!!!

 

 Find demonstrations around the Hall as you explore the fully inclusive Trade Section. Full vendors of all exotic and wild things, Including local talent, starter businesses and wildlife charities. You will be sure to find many things on offer to satisfy your needs!!

 

 As always Ants are the stars of the show. Head on down to the Exhibit Area where there will be a selction of Ants to see, including Asian Bullet Ants, Leaf Cutter Ants, Messor Structor and many more exhibits for your viewing needs, Feel free to ask the staff questions, they are very knowledgeable.

 

 As always this show will leave the younger generation with memories they will not forget, Hold Some Exotic Animals, Meet some of your favourite SuperHeros! get your face painted, grab an Ice cream or enjoy our many other forms of entertainment on site to make the day truly special.
