Europe's BIGGEST Camponotus in Europe, A slow growing species due to their size, they are a formidable force in later stages, with large strong workers and a strong bite. They will defend their territory aggressively.

Temperature requirements: 21 – 24 °C

Hibernation: From November until March

Nutrition:  Sugars from honey or sugar water. Protein from insect sources such as Waxworms, Mealworms or Dubia Roaches.

Queen size: 16-17 mm • Worker size: 8–17 mm 

Monogyne/polygyne: Monogyne (One Queen per colony)
